Advanced Solutions:

The Advanced Solutions organization provides key private and public client support in including ongoing Stock Plan Administration client service on both Shareworks and Equity Edge Online, critical function support for equity administration, data and automation, reporting, tax and legal compliance and subject matter expertise in the respective areas. In addition, the Global Intelligence team provides clients with global legal and tax information related to equity compensation and assists companies to manage their tax withholding obligations.

Automation Solutions Project Maanagement Role:

This role is part of the Automation Solutions Practice within the Onboarding group of the Morgan Stanley at Work organization. The project management role executes projects to establish complex automated API or SFTP data feeds using between various vendor systems (payroll, HR, and global tax mobility) for client employee stock plans and requires a combination of strategic and analytical problem solving, coupled with execution capability. Success in this role requires a blend of technical integration subject matter expertise, structured project management, and client/vendor leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can translate business requirements into integration designs, manage cross-functional delivery, and drive issues to resolution in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

What you’ll do in the role:
  • Serve as the Shareworks or Equity Edge Online integration SME for automated inbound/outbound feeds supporting employee stock plan administration.
  • Apply working knowledge of equity compensation concepts (transactions, taxation, reporting, payroll withholding, mobility considerations) to ensure integrations support operational needs.
  • Providing project management support and leadership, managing project milestones, ongoing status updates, and communications to key stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining a detailed project plan and open items log for project monitoring purposes.
  • Interacting closely with cross-functional teams to collect, clarify, and document system requirements
  • Coordinating and support integration testing activities while identifying integration risks.
  • Partnering with external client departments (e.g., Payroll, Human Resources, Executive Compensation, Finance, Relationship Management, IT, etc.) to implement automated and integrated solutions
  • Managing third party engagements (e.g., Service Providers, Payroll Vendors, etc.) with new and existing client base
  • Provides equity compensation information and knowledge of practices, trends, and programs to clients
  • Liaises with internal Morgan Stanley at Work business partners (Product, Client Success Management, Implementation) to help create strategic solutions for clients
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related experience is preferred
  • 5+ year of equity compensation administration, payroll management, or related experience
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations (REST concepts, authentication patterns, request/response payloads) and/or SFTP-based interfaces (encryption/PGP, file naming conventions, scheduling).
  • Experience in customer service and/or a client-facing role with an aptitude for understanding and responding to client needs with relevant solutions based on knowledge of businesses, products, and services
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task across multiple assignments
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in a variety of client settings
  • Ability to proactively identify potential risks and issues and develop courses of action to resolve
  • Enthusiastic and creative individual who is comfortable with rapidly engaging in new client environments
  • Self-directed and results oriented by setting clear and realistic goals to address client needs
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to problem solve, learn quickly, share knowledge, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Working knowledge of equity-related accounting, tax, and legal concepts, both domestic and international in scope
  • Knowledgeable on Morgan Stanley at Work Stock Plan Platforms and/or other stock plan administration systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
  • CEP Level 1 preferred
