Position Overview

This dual-role position involves both estimating and project management responsibilities. Depending on strengths and workload, the Estimator / Project Manager may:

  • Handle projects from start to finish (cradle-to-grave).

  • Focus more heavily on preparing accurate bids and proposals.

  • Lead project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.

This is a hands-on role requiring technical knowledge of heavy civil construction scopes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals using B2W and earthwork calculation software (INSITE & AGTEK).

  • Manage projects from planning through completion, including budgets, schedules, reports, and client communication.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.

  • Oversee project compliance, quality control, and accountability for performance.

  • Provide clear and timely documentation for all project phases.

  • Balance multiple bids and projects simultaneously.


Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (estimating and/or project management).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with B2W, AGTEK/INSITE, and ComputerEase preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimating.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

  • Must be 18+ and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
