Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Manager Project Management 3 to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Manager Project Management 3, or otherwise known as the Operations Execution Manager (OEM), provides the required oversight to lead a strong integrated Operations team including Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Production Control and Mission Assurance personnel in support of the EGI-M program under the Navigation, Targeting and Survivability (NT&S) Division in the Mission Systems Sector. In this position you will be responsible for a high performing team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of program performance.

The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success meeting cost and schedule requirements. The position requires a solution-based philosophy and the demonstrated ability to develop practical execution plans in a dynamic and complex environment. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, collaboration, and implementation of a strong operational program foundation with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Acts as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
  • Acts as primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customer to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Oversees and manages the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serves as primary liaison to program management.
  • Assesses project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers.
  • Coordinates and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery.
  • Drives continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities.

  • Expertise in creating, maintaining and manipulating Microsoft Office Suite Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Experience working and/or managing in a manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • Expertise in with Risk and Opportunity Management (RSKOM).
  • Expertise in working within a multi-team environment.
  • Expertise in facilitating customer and stakeholder engagements and meetings.
  • Expertise in interfacing and presenting to multiple levels of employees and leadership.
  • Expertise in driving results related to continuous improvement projects for cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field or a Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field with 10 Years experience.
  • Expertise in Project Management.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously - schedule management, cost/budget management, customer management, risk management, and performance management.
  • Expertise in Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Management.
  • Program management experience or PMP certification.
  • Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Working knowledge of SAP for Manufacturing, Test, MRP, Inventory & Production Control processes.
  • Strong ability to learn and train others.
  • Experience in a DoD setting.

Primary Level Salary Range: $151,500.00 - $227,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
