Manages projects in the context with full responsibility for the results and drives the development of products, solutions and/or services that are right on time and competitive in the market place, or drives research that ensures Siemens' technological lead position. The preferred candidate is based or open to relocate to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
  • Manages projects with full responsibility for project results in the context of research and development.
  • Drives R&D projects in cooperation with stakeholders, especially with Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • Supports cross-functional collaboration within the team and beyond. Ensures transparency on work items and progress in team.
  • Applies principles and methods from Siemens Development System (SDS) to improve speed and agility into R&D projects.
  • Executes project within the defined requirements (e.g. regarding targets for project cost, time, quality, functionality and customer satisfaction).
  • Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer by professional stakeholder management.
  • Ensures timely decisions about open issues, escalating if necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to architecture, design, quality guidelines as well as product security and product safety topics.
  • Manages and ensures compliance to standards, working laws, rules and regulations, intellectual property rights.
  • Performs risk and opportunity management.
  • Steers budget and resources, as well as generation of the project agreement.
  • Aligns project targets with R&D strategy (e.g. product portfolio, technology roadmap).
  • Drives a continuous improvement culture including e.g. reuse, cooperation, knowledge management, lessons learned.
  • Actively participates in collecting and sharing best practices
  • Drives the search for opportunities of own intellectual properties and ensures alignment with patent strategy.
  • Ensures appropriate Project documentation.
  • Incorporates customer feedback during project execution.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient intechnical writing,
  • Utilizing business tools such as Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Monday.com/MS Project, Tempus, etc.
  • Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • Working knowledge of MS Team Foundation Server/ Azure DevOpsand JAMA will be an asset.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and/or 3-8 years of related experience or Master's / PhD Degree with 2-5 years of related experience

The expected compensation for this position is:

$80,000 - $114,000

Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
