We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to join the Technology Project Management Office (TPMO). 

Reporting to PMO Lead the Associate Project Manager is responsible for providing senior administrative project, program or portfolio support and leading projects of low risk and complexity under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager to ensure projects are defined, planned, and delivered as outlined in the Business Case.

Success in this role will include leveraging your experience in supporting projects, your attention to detail and your ability to understand project details and determine a plan of action. 

What you will do 

  • Project Governance & Documentation: creates and maintains project charters, plans, schedules, and reports. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, governance processes, compliance requirements, and data quality standards.
  • Financial & Schedule tracking: Support and manage project budgets, monitors time-tracking, and tracks costs-to complete forecasts.
  • Risk & Issue Management: identifies risks and assists in tracking and managing project issues.
  • Reporting: Develops dashboards, project health reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Administration: assists with setting and maintaining projects in managements tools (Clarity, Confluence).
  • Resource management: assists in assigning resources to project, ensures timing tracking is accurate to estimate and effort.
  • Monitoring and reporting: tracks project progress against plan and milestones.  
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to larger or more complex projects, programs, and portfolios as required.
  • Contribute to knowledge base, culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Support organizational change and improvement, including supporting the implementation and adherence to changes in processes and practices.
  • Ensure the effective execution of smaller projects or initiatives to deliver a product that satisfies stakeholder expectations and achieves project success criteria.  

What you will bring 

  • 3+ years' experience in supporting projects, programs or portfolios 
  • Experience with Clarity, JIRA/Confluence, MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of project management practices, methodologies, processes, governance and tools.
  • Strong ability to analyze project data and performance metrics to make informed decisions on courses of action.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in project documentation and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of activity and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and share knowledge effectively.
  • Experience with Power BI reports/dashboards assets.

The base salary for this position is between $50,900 - $84,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
