Job description

Purpose

The Program Manager will manage strategic programs, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery that exceeds customer expectations. Oversee planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, prioritizing customer satisfaction.  This role may provide strategic direction, help lead program teams, manage significant risk and dependencies and ensure the successful achievement of program objectives with defined constraints.


Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities, can manage all aspects for customers.
  • Interface with customers on job requirements, deadlines, and production needs.
  • Prepare quotations, accept POs, and schedule jobs. Ships and invoices products.
  • Perform duties of Buyer/Planner and provide input for production schedule.
  • Work with engineering on job-specific requirements and customer product needs.
  • Input and manage data related to jobs/programs.
  • Manage daily tasks with effective time management and self-direction, requiring minimal guidance
  • Will oversee program management staff, buyers, planners and stockroom personnel.
  • Proficient in all systems and ability to train and mentor new program managers and buyers, as needed, in the Director’s absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required in order to support customer requirements and demands.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer-facing experience managing order entry and shipping, emphasizing timely and accurate delivery. Requires strong customer service skills, including responsiveness to high volume of inquiries and problem-solving, as well as exceptional organization and follow-through
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume Request for Quotes (RFQs) through purchasing, material/project planning, and quoting, with specific experience in buying discrete electronic components on Bill of Materials (BOMs). Electronic component buying experience is highly preferred
  • Requires ability to effectively manage time, to multitask, and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Expertise in Excel preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering). Industry-specific degrees may also be considered or an additional 3-4 years’ experience in the field.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in a Program/Project Manager role handling multiple customers with an electronics contract manufacturer with an emphasis on full-cycle customer and product ownership.
  • This is a full time, on-site position and cannot be supported remotely
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Finance departments to achieve project goals.
  • Requires knowledge of Gerber file/Fab file, identifying assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).


Physical Requirements

  • May experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand or walk for short periods in order to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • This is a fulltime on-site role that will be performed at one of our multiple locations
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live near one of our sites.
  • Local travel to other locations may be required on a regular basis.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines.
