Job Description:

L3 Harris is seeking a Lead Program Manager who is recognized as an expert and thought leader in the area of Strategic Communications and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3). Leverages broad experience in acquisition, deployment and operation of strategic communications systems within the U.S. Government. Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the U.S. Government and L3Harris, involving large cross-functional teams. Communicates within and outside of L3Harris to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new systems, concepts, or technologies. Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall government and L3Harris goals and objectives

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate effectively within and outside of L3Harris, including with strategic partners in industry and government.
  • Influence senior leadership and stakeholders to adopt new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Conduct briefings for senior leaders and customers with demonstrated expertise in NC3 systems architecture.
  • Recommend tactics and strategies that impact short-term (1-2 years) and long-term (3-5 years) organizational objectives.
  • Propose new products, processes, policies, and standards to ensure success.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees across the company in Senior Leader Communications and NC3.
  • Ensure program quality, cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Improve existing processes and establish new systems through advanced conceptualization and problem-solving.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop actionable strategies aligned with government and L3Harris objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Mastery-level knowledge of Senior Leader Communications and NC3 domain, typically obtained through advanced education and practical experience in government and/or industry.
  • Recognized as an expert and resource within the field by peers across government and industry.
  • TS/SCI clearance on previous programs highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and champion new concepts or technologies.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution for both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with broad-based consideration of organizational impact.
