Job Description:

Lead a high-impact growth portfolio focused on delivering advanced communications systems for the Navy's next-generation aircraft. This Director-track role requires a strategic leader who can navigate ambiguity, drive customer-centric solutions, and deliver complex programs while scaling the portfolio from $70M to $140M+ over the next three years. You'll build the foundation for sustainable growth while maintaining program excellence and customer trust.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead $70M Air Wing of the Future communications portfolio with aggressive growth targets to $140M+ by 2029 through new platform integrations, capability expansions, and adjacent opportunities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategy in partnership with Business Development, Capture, and Strategy teams to identify, shape, and win new opportunities
  • Build business cases and investment proposals for new program initiatives balancing current delivery excellence with future growth investments
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, business development, Navy program offices, and fleet operators to shape portfolio strategy and roadmap

  • Track and report growth metrics including pipeline value, win rate, contract awards, and revenue realization
  • Partner with Finance and Contracts teams to structure deals that support profitable, sustainable growth
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team of program managers and supporting staff, scaling organization to support portfolio growth
  • Build organizational capacity through strategic hiring, talent development, process optimization, and succession planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of program management experience, with at least 5 years leading complex, multi-disciplinary programs
  • Minimum 10 years demonstrated track record managing and growing portfolios >$50M; demonstrated experience scaling programs or portfolios
  • Active Us Top Secret Security clearance

  • Experience with business development, capture support, or new program standup in growth environments
  • Experience managing growth portfolios or emerging capability development programs

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $153,000 - ย $284,000.ย This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
