Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee all phases of program execution-from inception to delivery-for our Sonar Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) programs supporting our Integrated Acoustic Sensors portfolio within the Maritime Sector. You will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance management of the program while achieving key business results, including revenue recognition, operating income, free cash flow, and customer satisfaction. You will have experience with sustainment programs and obsolescence management, as well as a background in Earned Value Management (EVM). You will demonstrate team-building, leadership, and communication skills by building relationships of trust with your teams, customers, peers, and leadership, and by communicating effectively and confidently, including through regular presentations and status updates to leadership.

Essential Job Functions & Duties

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Manages programs using Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statements of Work (SOW), specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Acts as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishes design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
  • Expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a highly visible and fast-paced portfolio, reporting directly to a site GM/executive.
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge in leading a portfolio with reportable Earned Value.
  • Experience with development, transition to production, and low-rate initial production programs.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Strong EQ, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize data and provide executive-level presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Project & Office.
  • Prior experience as a Program Manager supporting an international customer and/or major prime contractor.
  • Undersea systems experience.
  • PMP certification.
