However, if neither, the employee has to the option to stay on as a Direct Care Associate.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Manager Position with Redhead Supports is to create, cultivate, sustain, and maintain (in every aspect) the kind of programs they would entrust their loved ones to.

PHILOSOPHY:

It is imperative that Redhead Supports have highly skilled, thoroughly trained Managers. An effective and invested Manager will be the difference between average care and excellent care for the individuals with disabilities Redhead Supports supports. The Manager is not content with providing average services and as such, strives to maintain high standards of performance in all aspects of their work. The Manager must be magnificent.

The Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of his or her assigned program (e.g., residential, supported living, supported employment, day program). Under the direction of our Management Team, the Manager administers all aspects of client care, including dietary and hygiene needs, medical needs (if applicable), financial needs (if applicable), day program, school, or work attendance, participation in enriching and educational activities both at home and in the community, and general client welfare. The Manager fulfills their responsibilities in a professional manner and places a high priority on establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the individuals they serve, their families, and their Support Coordinators.

The Manager should understand that the safety, cultivation, and care of their clients is their first priority. No other success as a Manger will compensate for failure to cultivate the clients they have stewardship alongside of. The Manager should understand the importance of stretching the individuals they serve out of their comfort zone in order to assist the individual in growth and progression toward autonomy and independence. The Manager should understand that the ultimate goal when working with our clients is to teach them to make intelligent decisions independently and to arm them with the skills necessary to meet life's situations with confidence. The Manager should be client-centered. They should structure and prioritize their time with the clients they support based on the client's preferences, and what goals the client's team has deemed necessary to focus on. The Manager facilitates enriching, educational and exercise-oriented activities for their clients and according to their clients' choosing. The Manager perpetually seeks to offer new experiences for the client to, again, assist them in progressing toward autonomy. They do this by working hand in hand with the team and by leading by example.

Positive relationships are utterly vital to the success and quality of work rendered at Redhead Supports. The Manager is the person to exemplify the 6 Driving Values in every way and will hold each Manager to the same level of standard without exception. The more often any person associated with Redhead Supports has positive exposure/experiences with an Redhead Supports employee, the more goodwill and trust is fostered. This goodwill and trust will be a buffer in the relationship in the event that the caretaking seas get rocky and rambunctious. However, along with this tremendous responsibility comes the reality of leadership, stewardship and accountability. It's not enough just to be a Manager by title, a Manager fully accepts that the success and failure of his or her Team rests on their shoulders and at the end of the day will do everything in their power to insure that every clients needs are met, every shift is covered, every document is submitted correctly and Redhead Supports is always in compliance with its state contracts.
