**Position/Title: Plant Manager

Location: Hammond, Louisiana

Type: Full Time, Direct Hire, On Site

Reason for Role: Facility is undergoing a major equipment refresh**

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall effectiveness of day-to-day manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, customer service, production, cost control, equipment utilization, materials, manpower, production planning, inventory, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on plant leadership role. The right person must be credible on the floor, strong with people, steady under pressure, and able to drive performance while protecting a strong safety-first and quality-focused culture.

  • Main manufacturing site with an additional off-site warehouse
  • Approximately 150 employees

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Plant Manager has 4 direct reports:

  • - **Technical Manager **(manages Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor)

    • Operations Manager (manages Supply Chain Manager (manages 4 WH Supervisors) and 4 Production Supervisors)
    • CI Manager (manages Quality Engineer)
    • Quality Manager (manages Quality compliance Manager and Quality Improvement Manager)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily plant operations across safety, quality, customer service, production, cost, materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Ensure all safety, health, quality, GMP, company policies, procedures, and recognized manufacturing practices are followed and enforced.
  • Lead plant safety initiatives through training, safety meetings, audits, employee involvement, safety suggestions, and recognition programs.
  • Lead quality initiatives through corrective actions, customer and internal complaint resolution, new product qualifications, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Select, train, coach, develop, and retain shift and staff personnel.
  • Review operating statements and manage plant costs within budget.
  • Build and maintain sound customer relationships.
  • Work with customers to identify system improvements and possible supply chain cost reductions.
  • Oversee production planning to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Partner with sales and customer service to support customer commitments and maximize plant utilization.
  • Act as plant project lead for new initiatives involving equipment and molds.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end physical inventories.
  • Create and implement strategic and tactical plant plans aligned with facility and company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement using operational excellence tools across cross-functional departments.
  • Promote an open-door, team-oriented environment.
  • Support special projects related to other functional areas as needed.
  • Travel may be required up to 25 percent.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and/or related plant management experience, or equivalent combination of education and plant leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills with employees, managers, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive leadership approach.
