As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Center Pivot Irrigation Sales Representative to join our team and expand our presence across Eastern North Carolina.

Position Summary

The Center Pivot Irrigation Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing irrigation solutions that help growers improve crop performance and water management. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to farmers and agricultural producers, helping them evaluate, design, and implement center pivot irrigation systems tailored to their operations.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, sales-driven professional with excellent communication and presentation skills, a strong agricultural background, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, landowners, agricultural producers, and industry partners throughout Eastern North Carolina.
• Generate new business opportunities and expand Benchmark Buildings & Irrigation's market presence within the assigned territory.
• Conduct on-farm visits to assess customer needs and recommend irrigation solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, equipment recommendations, and project estimates.
• Educate customers on irrigation technology, water management practices, and system benefits.
• Coordinate with installation and service teams to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
• Attend agricultural trade shows, field days, commodity meetings, and industry events representing Benchmark Buildings & Irrigation.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
• Stay informed on industry trends, irrigation advancements, and agricultural production practices.
• Achieve established sales goals and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (4-year degree) required, preferably in Agriculture, Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Engineering, or a related field; or a comparable agricultural background with significant hands-on farming or agricultural industry experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Sales-oriented personality with a proven ability to build trust and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematics related to measurements, acreage calculations, irrigation design concepts, equipment sizing, and project estimates.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a territory-based role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic business software applications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Eastern North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural sales, irrigation systems, farm equipment, crop production, or related agricultural industries.
• Knowledge of center pivot irrigation systems and water management practices.
• Familiarity with the agricultural communities, crops, and farming operations of Eastern North Carolina.
