What this job involves: We are seeking a leader to join our team as Senior Director, Performance Management. This leader will lead performance delivery in a client-facing role, driving performance excellence across multiple accounts within the life sciences industry. This role will oversee performance management strategies and lead a team of performance managers who support client portfolios in life sciences and related sectors. This leader will foster cross-account collaboration, ensure alignment with client objectives, and lead the development and execution of robust performance management frameworks tailored to the unique requirements of life sciences environments. The Senior Director will provide strategic oversight, coaching, and leadership to performance managers while establishing standardized approaches that drive accountability and continuous improvement across all accounts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrated facility management within the life sciences industry, performance analytics, account operations, and team leadership, with a strong ability to develop performance frameworks, optimize measurement strategies, and implement data-driven improvement initiatives. This role provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a high-performing leader seeking to advance their leadership acumen and contribute to enterprise-level excellence within our organization.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide performance management strategies and frameworks tailored to life sciences clients, implementing standardized methodologies, tools, and best practices across the vertical.
- Oversee a team of performance managers supporting multiple accounts, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and excellence.
- Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with client objectives, regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, GMP/GLP), and organizational goals specific to life sciences operations.
- Develop and deploy technologies and platforms for efficient performance data collection, analysis, and reporting, championing adoption of AI, RPA, and advanced analytics to drive operational efficiency in mission-critical environments.
- Serve as primary strategic advisor to life sciences clients on performance excellence initiatives, partnering directly to translate business goals into measurable performance outcomes and operational excellence programs.
- Act as primary point person for establishing performance standards and frameworks for new business opportunities and RFP responses, creating standardized scorecards and tools for rapid deployment in competitive situations.
- Drive performance delivery from the client's perspective by establishing governance models, performance reviews, and continuous improvement programs that demonstrate tangible value and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Enhance cross-account collaboration to improve knowledge sharing and ensure consistency in performance management approaches, while aligning strategies with client expectations unique to life sciences facilities.
- Utilize performance data and advanced analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, developing corrective action plans to address performance issues and drive service delivery excellence.
- Design and deliver training programs that strengthen performance management capabilities organization-wide, establishing succession planning and talent development strategies to ensure leadership continuity within the function.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading high-performing teams in facility management, performance management, workplace services, or real estate operations, with significant experience in the life sciences industry.
- Proven ability to develop and implement performance management programs across complex, multi-account portfolios in life sciences or similarly regulated environments, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams of performance professionals or operational leaders supporting life sciences clients.
- Deep understanding of life sciences facility requirements, including cleanroom operations, laboratory environments, regulatory compliance (GMP), and critical infrastructure management.

- Strong background in KPI development, performance tracking, analytics, and process optimization within life sciences or highly regulated industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making and advanced reporting.
- Excellent communication, senior-level stakeholder management, and executive client-facing presentation skills with life sciences industry leaders.
- Ability to drive operational excellence and innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-account environment serving life sciences clients.
- Experience working within a supplier-client relationship in real estate portfolio management for life sciences organizations.
