As the first point of access for Lee Health patients, this position completes and assists with Insurance Verification, authorizations, and financial screening to secure maximum reimbursement for the Lee Health System. It also requires excellent verbal, analytical and customer service skills due to the varying methods of continuous communication that occurs telephonically. Requires extensive computer knowledge and analytical experience to navigate and interpret the information provided by a multitude of entities. Requires prioritization, detail orientation, organized, flexible while working within high volume work queues. This job requires the ability to understand medical terminology pertinent to obtaining the authorizations needed for services.


Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Clerical/administrative and healthcare experience required. Epic EMR system and customer service experience preferred.

Certification: N/A

License: N/A

Other: Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, IT/computer proficient, basic math skills, knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful.
