Human Resources Business Partner

Annual Compensation: $78,000 - $88,000 DOE

Location: Hybrid; Travel to Portland Metro operations 2x/week

Overview / Position Summary

The HR Business Partner assists the HR Business Partners with supporting their assigned business units or regions by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives, while building and maintaining influential relationships. They are a strategic partner to managers and an advocate for employees. This role supports performance management activities, helps to resolve employee relations issues, and helps employees understand and adhere to human resources policies and procedures.

DUTIES

  • Partner with people managers to drive organizational excellence with a strong emphasis on coaching for results
  • Provide leaders with key business and organizational insights to properly drive, reward, and manage performance
  • Collaborate with leaders across the HR team to drive key recruiting, total rewards, organizational development, and HR operations and analytics initiatives into the hands of people leaders
  • Assists with administering HR policies and programs to best enable and support employees
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships between employers and employees
  • Acts as a consultant to management on policies and procedures
  • Assists in the resolution of specific disciplinary or grievance cases
  • Counsels managers and employees on issues affecting workplace dynamics
  • Communicates with employees and corporate attorneys to ensure that the workforce is aware of company policies
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
Education & Industry Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum Experience: 1-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an ability to use and interpret data to best inform decisions and approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for navigating delicate situations with grace, care, and thoughtfulness.
  • Ability to see around corners, provide trusted counsel, and help enable teams to achieve greatness, foster teamwork, drive strategic direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.

TRAVEL

  • Travel to the GMR Portland Metro operations 2x/wk will be required.
