About The Opportunity
The Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end performance of the manufacturing facility, including safety, quality, service, cost, and people outcomes. This role leads the site with a strong safety-first mindset, translates business strategy into disciplined execution, and builds a high-performance culture aligned with MPC values.Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a zero-injury, safety-first culture across the site.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and MPC standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action efforts.
Operational Excellence
  • Own site performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics.
  • Translate divisional strategies into clear site priorities and execution plans.
  • Drive operational discipline through KPIs and daily management systems.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Develop and coach site leadership to deliver consistent results.
  • Build engagement, accountability, and trust across the organization.
  • Establish succession plans for key roles.
Business & Financial Management
  • Manage site financial performance including productivity and cost control.
  • Support capital planning, execution, and ROI.
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset using structured methods.
  • Ensure improvements are standardized and sustained.
Quality & Customer Focus

Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of significant progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and improving site performance.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and manufacturing operations.
Preferred
  • Experience leading complex, multi-shift manufacturing environments.
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience managing P&L or full site financial accountab
