Overview

We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who can run day-to-day IT operations across a multi-warehouse logistics environment while bringing structure, accountability, and ownership to the department.

If you’ve spent your career in highly structured enterprise IT without getting your hands dirty, this role will not be a fit.

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who can run day-to-day IT operations across a multi-warehouse logistics environment while bringing structure, accountability, and ownership to the department.

This is not a “delegate everything” role. You will be expected to lead, build, and execute—from troubleshooting production issues to managing vendors and driving system improvements.

If you’ve spent your career in highly structured enterprise IT without getting your hands dirty, this role will not be a fit.

What You’ll Own

  • IT Operations Leadership
    • Manage and develop a small team (3–5 generalist IT staff)
    • Establish structure, priorities, and accountability
    • Move the team from reactive firefighting to proactive operations
  • Warehouse Systems & Business-Critical Tech
    • Support and optimize WMS platforms (e.g., Infios E3PL / Accellos)
    • Manage EDI workflows via Ramp Systems EDI and 1EDI HQ
    • Ensure uptime and performance across warehouse operations
  • Infrastructure & Network
    • Oversee on-prem VM environment (Nutanix)
    • Manage networking stack (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cato Networks)
    • Maintain Active Directory and core systems
  • Hands-On Technical Work
    • Troubleshoot critical issues end-to-end (not just escalate)
    • Write and optimize SQL across:
      • SQL Server
      • Oracle
      • Progress OpenEdge
    • Support reporting tools:
      • SSRS
      • Power BI
      • Crystal Reports
  • Vendor & Project Management
    • Hold vendors accountable for deliverables and timelines
    • Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
    • Eliminate “black box” dependencies where possible
  • Strategy & Budget
    • Own IT budgeting and cost control
    • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reduce cost, and increase efficiency
    • Partner with leadership to align IT with business goals

What Success Looks Like

  • IT moves from reactive firefighting to structured, predictable operations
  • Vendors are managed, not relied on blindly
  • Systems are stable, documented, and improving
  • Leadership can focus on strategy instead of daily IT issues

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 – $130,000

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation, Sick, 401k

  • Stable, growing logistics environment with real operational impact

Who This Is NOT For

  • Pure managers who don’t want to be hands-on

  • Candidates without warehouse/logistics or operational IT experience

Anyone who prefers to escalate rather than solve problems.
