IT Internship
Oak Hammock at the University of Florida is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated, part time Intern, End User Support Specialist. This paid internship is designed to provide students enrolled in college an opportunity to learn practical skills and gain experience in the field of Information Technology. Employment with Oak Hammock provides an excellent opportunity to work in an innovative community focused on lifelong learning. We offer a flexible working schedule of 15-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Intern, End-User Support Specialist:
  • Maintain functionality and efficiency for all technology used by Oak Hammock residents.
  • Quickly provide diagnosis for issues involving mobile and desktop equipment
  • Assist residents day-to-day with technology
  • Train users on software functionality and walk customers through problem resolution
  • Update user information in a database organizational system
  • Report any escalation of issues or problems to the Information Technology Team
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at an accredited University or Community College
  • Candidate is required to be in an Information Technology focused major and preferably in Junior or Senior standing
  • Individual will need to be empathetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
  • All applicants must successfully pass a drug screen and Level I and II background check
