The compensation target for this role is: $106,300 - $125,000

Job Summary

The Manager of Demand Planning will be responsible for data analytics through trend or gap analysis, predictive modeling, analysis of historical sales performance and forecasts, inventory levels, and other supply chain intelligence. The Manager of Demand Planning will assist key members of the supply chain team with data gathering, selection of analytical methods, and synthesizing quantitative inputs. This role is an integral part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) monthly cycle.Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and maintain business KPIs, analyze data, identify root causes and present findings and recommendations to drive key business decisions.

  • Use experience, analysis, reports and gathered intelligence to review history, evaluate the impact of future business and sales activities on demand and take appropriate actions to adjust forecasts.

  • Helps facilitate cross-functional communication between the Business Units and Supply Chain in support of S&OP initiatives, new product launches, line extensions, promotions, discontinuations, productivity projects, decision-making modeling of process flow, inventory levels, etc.

  • Analyzes supply chain operations in order to optimize Purple's inventory. Help establish and manage the variable elements of planning such as sku stratification, forecasting, demand history, production schedules, planning lead-times, min/max replenishment, intercompany transfers, lifecycle management, and target service levels.

  • Support decision-making and the improvement of critical processes including Production Scheduling, Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning, Transportation Planning, and Distribution Resource Planning.

  • Responsible for day-to-day reporting activities; executing all necessary steps needed to produce reports; ensure data integrity, timeliness of reports, clarity & presentation of reports, accessibility & user friendliness.

  • Responsible for managing workflows and requests for all item master and Bill of Material creations, changes and maintenance.

  • Conducts data cleansing to identify unused and/or duplicate data for better management and reliable outputs.

  • Clearly define project timelines and scope; communicate proactively and strategically, and provide training to end-users as needed.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • APICS or ISM certification preferred.

  • Strength in strategic problem solving and effective communication skills - able to interact comfortably with every level in the organization.

  • Strong quantitative analytical abilities including advanced knowledge of Excel developing complex formulas e.g. (arrays, vlookup, sumifs, sumproduct, pivot tables, named ranges, etc.)

  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management strategies.

  • Experience with business intelligence platforms.

  • Experience with ERP platforms with strong understanding of MRP.

  • Self-starter, eager to learn, result-oriented and creative thinker.

  • Experience setting up and working with databases desired.

  • Knowledge and experience with set up and maintenance of ERP master data.
