Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager leads the daily operations of the Accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective internal controls. This role oversees audits, budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting operations while partnering across the organization to improve processes, implement financial systems, and support sound financial decision-making.
Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.
Please Note: This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and requires employees to work onsite at our Cincinnati office. This is not a remote position.​

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3-5+ years of management and supervisory experience

Supervises Accounting staff, oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, reconciliations, and month-end close activities

Manage all aspects of the annual external audit, including audit preparation, coordination, schedules, documentation, and resolution of audit requests

Partner with Ticketing department to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and implementation of ticket-related deals, promotions, and revenue programs

Assist with Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and various financial reporting requirements

Oversee accounting and financial reporting for two nonprofit entities, including monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and annual review processes

Manage and enhance financial systems and automation initiatives, including AP automation, Concur administration, and future accounting system upgrades and
