With a strong presence in the market and a reputation for excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team and drive our metal forming operations to new heights. Job Summary We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Production Manager specializing in metal forming to oversee our production processes, optimize efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal forming techniques, progressive dies, and progressive tooling, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the metal forming production process, including planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage and coordinate the use of progressive dies and tooling, ensuring proper maintenance, repair, and replacement as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and tooling.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to optimize production flow and meet customer demands.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the production cycle.
  • Participate in new product development projects, providing input on manufacturability and production processes.
  • Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting production targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in metal forming and implement improvements as appropriate.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in metal forming production, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with metal forming processes, progressive dies, and progressive tooling.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
