Job description

Position Overview

Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the Maintenance Reliability Engineer for the Arkansas Kraft Division will have Primary responsibility for electrical equipment reliability, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Maintenance Best Practices, Engineering support for Maintenance department for troubleshooting, corrective actions,  etc. 

Responsibilities

A steadfast commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. โ€ข Supporting the highest department quality and productivity levels. โ€ข Managing asset quality; ensuring the manufacturing reliability of equipment focusing on reducing and minimizing process downtime. โ€ข Work closely with the area production managers to establish objectives consistent with the Arkansas Kraft Divisionโ€™s vision and strategy. โ€ข Strong leadership and clear communication of Arkansas Kraftโ€™s strategy and short-term tactical objectives will provide a solid foundation to ensure accountability and understanding by employees at every level within the mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and reliability group. โ€ข Lead and manage activities around asset management by maintaining and enhancing the plantโ€™s property and equipment, build PM/Pd.M. programs for Maintenance, improving substandard facilities, and requesting funds to upgrade facilities through budgets and capital funding requests.    

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. โ€ข A PE license and/or CMRP designation are preferred. โ€ข Current repair and maintenance of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment skills required - at least 5 years' experience preferred. While qualified candidates may come from outside the paper industry, it is expected that they will have similar experience in a highly automated process manufacturing environment and be accustomed to large-scale production in a commodity driven low-cost business. โ€ข Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM) diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including but not limited to  electrical distribution, high- and medium-voltage breakers, starters, motors (AC and DC), variable frequency drives, transmitters, analytical equipment, and PLC/DCS systems,  โ€ข Thorough knowledge of power distribution and high- and medium-voltage motor control systems required โ€ข Ability to read plans, prints, sketches and use those to direct fabrication or repair โ€ข Ability to lead other by communicating effectively with team members (bilingual is a plus) โ€ข Strong analytical and technical skills โ€ข Teamwork and problem-solving skills are a must. While expertise in all aspects of maintenance excellence and engineering life cycle design is critical, it is equally important that the successful candidate have a proven record of being able to solve problems and implement corrective actions in areas that he/she has no previous experience. โ€ข May requires a flexible schedule. Candidate should be able to work overtime, odd and unscheduled hours as required and share on-call duties. โ€ข Ability to lift up to 40lbs โ€ข Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long and short periods of time
