The Role

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Care department. This is a mid-level management position with full departmental accountability spanning clinical operations, staff management, financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and patient care quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Department Management

  • Manage daily department operations to ensure alignment with organisational and clinical objectives
  • Coordinate services across patients, staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Provide direct patient care when operationally required

Staff Management & Development

  • Oversee recruitment, scheduling, payroll, performance management, training, and conflict resolution
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, and administering corrective actions in accordance with policy
  • Foster a culture of professional growth and continuous clinical improvement

Financial & Regulatory Oversight

  • Monitor departmental budgets, contracts, vendor relations, and procurement
  • Manage equipment and supply usage to ensure efficiency, safety, and readiness
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations including HIPAA

Stakeholder Relations & Confidentiality

  • Maintain sensitive patient and organisational information securely and in compliance with policy
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal staff, external clients, and vendors

Requirements

Must-Have ★

  • ★ Bachelor's degree in a related field — preferred; applicable experience may be considered in lieu
  • ★ Current Certified Respiratory Care Therapist (CRRT) credential — valid and current Arkansas Board of Respiratory Care registration required
  • ★ Management or supervisory experience in a respiratory or clinical setting — strongly preferred

Certifications (Required within timeframes from hire)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) — required within 1 month of hire/transfer
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) — required within 6 months
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) — required within 6 months
