We are seeking a Senior Life Insurance Business Analyst with deep expertise across the life insurance value chain to support strategic transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of operational knowledge and consulting capability, with direct experience working alongside Life Insurance Operations teams to assess, design, and optimize business processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This role will engage with senior stakeholders to define future-state capabilities and drive business-aligned transformation roadmaps.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of current-state life insurance business operations across multiple functional areas
Facilitate workshops with operations leaders and executives to identify business challenges and transformation opportunities
Document and analyze end-to-end business processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement areas
Define and articulate future-state business capabilities aligned with strategic objectives
Develop high-level business capability roadmaps in partnership with technology and IT leadership
Translate complex operational concepts into clear, executive-ready deliverables and presentations
Create conceptual models and visualizations of current and future state processes beyond standard documentation
Provide subject matter expertise across life insurance domains including underwriting, servicing, and claims
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance business analysis, consulting, or operations, including exposure to multiple life insurance organizations, and demonstrates hands-on expertise across several core domains such as distribution, underwriting, servicing, agent management, and claims.
• Direct experience working with Life Insurance Operations teams, not solely IT-focused roles
• Demonstrated expertise in at least three areas: distribution, new business/underwriting, in-force servicing, agent management, or claims
• Proven ability to lead facilitated sessions with senior stakeholders including executive leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present at CEO/COO level
• Experience developing business capability models and transformation roadmaps
• Ability to create conceptual and strategic representations of business processes
• Experience working across multiple life insurance carriers or organizations
Desired qualifications
• Background in internal consulting teams within large life insurance carriers
• Experience in operations leadership roles within life insurers or third-party administrators
• Consulting experience with global or boutique professional services firms
• Familiarity with third-party administrators such as Illumifin, EXL, DXC, NTT Data, or TCS
