The Learning and Development Specialist is primarily responsible for facilitating training and learning programs and coaching employees, including but not limited to orientation and onboarding programs for new team members, Professional Development Opportunities, Leadership Assessments, career development and more. The L&D Specialist will work with team members to develop training materials, job aids, learning maps, and other dynamic and interactive learning solutions, and design engaging training programs based on consultation with subject matter experts. This individual will also assist with organizational and project specific training needs by collaborating with others across the organization. Some travel may be required.

Starting salary $62,500 annually (or more based on experience).
Key Responsibilities
Training & Facilitation
  • Facilitate onboarding, professional development, leadership, compliance, operational, and technology training programs.
  • Design and develop training materials, job aids, learning guides, learning maps, and other learning resources.
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops, classroom training, virtual learning, and other development opportunities.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback and performance data.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through training and communication efforts.

Curriculum Development
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create, update, and customize learning content.
  • Identify training needs and skill gaps across departments and job functions.
  • Develop learning solutions that align with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Maintain training materials to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and effective.

Stakeholder Partnership & Support
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and training support for projects and operational initiatives.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution recommendations related to learning and development.
  • Serve as a resource for training-related questions, issues, and escalations.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate training metrics and learning outcomes.
  • Generate reporting and insights to support training-related decision making.
  • Research emerging learning trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve training effectiveness, learner engagement, and organizational performance.

Leadership & Culture
  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.

  • Mentor and encourage the growth of fellow team members.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use common office technology.
  • Professional written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred
  • Associate degree in business, education, human resources, organizational development, or related field.
  • One to two years of experience in training, facilitation, coaching, learning and development, or a related function.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
