Schaeffler Group -- Supplier Quality Management Development Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic development and continuous optimization of the supplier portfolio to uphold stringent quality standards and maintain cutting-edge technological advancements. This involves regular performance evaluation through detailed audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively, and driving supplier development initiatives tailored to business objectives.
  • Systematically track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Performance Indicators (PIs), generating comprehensive reports that inform timely escalation and resolution processes where necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate closely with the global category management team to define and implement a coherent, global supplier strategy that aligns with both qualitative requirements and technology-specific needs, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
  • Monitor supplier risks by executing thorough supplier surveillance, including planning and conducting on-site assessments, followed by diligent follow-up actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain transparent and proactive communication channels with suppliers, providing detailed feedback on annual supplier evaluations, methodologies applied, and improvement expectations to promote partnership and mutual growth.
  • Engage cross-functionally with teams such as Procurement, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and R&D, to align supplier capabilities with company goals and project timelines.
  • Champion best practices in supplier quality management by integrating industry standards and evolving quality system requirements into daily operations and decision-making processes.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise and experience within the automotive sector, demonstrating familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and supplier quality expectations.
  • TS/ISO/AIAG Quality System knowledge/experience
  • Quality System Assessment training
  • APQP/PPAP Processes and implementation
  • SAP & Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong leadership
    • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
    • Ability to work and engage with cross functional teams
    • Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
    • Assertive approach to solving problems
    • Ability to prioritize and make decisions
