Opportunity


JBT Marel is looking for Key Account Manager (KAM). The KAM is a dynamic, high-impact sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing market penetration, and fostering deep partnerships across a assigned geographic region.


Balancing strategic relationship management with aggressive business development, this role oversees a diverse portfolio that includes both high-profile key accounts and high-potential smaller customers. Acting as a trusted advisor, the manager will optimize Marel's market footprint by defending and growing core key accounts while actively hunting for new business and scaling smaller accounts within the territory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be the customer advocate and trusted advisor on customer group level
  • Strengthen customer relationships by frequent customer visits and communications with different stakeholders on group and site level (together with (AM) and/or (ISM)).
  • Work closely with AMs, ISMs, CCMs, S-KAM to analyze customer performance and needs, identify opportunities and translate this into proposals for solutions to the customer.
  • Present opportunities and solutions on group level and proactively negotiate master agreements when needed.
  • Work closely with the Key Account Manager for Service to align approach to customer and explore opportunities for value co-creation for equipment, software and service.
  • You will work closely together with AMs, ISMs, CCMs and distribution partners to ensure aligned approach cross sites.
  • Sharing of customer and industry knowledge and best practice with all internal stakeholders.
  • Create and update the Customer Plan on group level together with selected internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze customer data, market data and competitor data and translate this information into valuable feedback for the sales organization and other relevant functions within JBT Marel.
  • Manage and maintain pipeline of opportunities, their status, and follow up activities.
  • Responsible for reaching the sales targets (budget) agreed for the customer group.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in capital equipment sales, B2B industrial sales, or advanced solution selling (experience in food processing or automated manufacturing industries is highly preferred).
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-site corporate accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Equal capability to deeply nurture existing relationships and aggressively hunt for new business revenue.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing Key Account
  • Bachelors or masters degree in business or Science or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience with a CRM (salesforce)

  • You will be remote in the Southeastern-Mid Atlantic US. The position will require Up to 70% domestic and international travel.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $120,000.00 to $160,000 annual pay. We determine compensation on experience and skill.
