Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, a Line Lead oversees the operation of a production line following product specifications, complying with current manufacturing practices and corresponding company Standard Operating Procedures. Trains new workers, coaches and leads the work of current employees, to ensure adherence to safety procedures, policies, and regulations. Maintains sound communication with subordinates and other departments as needed. The Production Line Leader position is accountable for ensuring that production is executed in a timely manner and performs regular quality control assessments to produce excellent quality output, minimize delays and reach production goals.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Enforce all safety procedures and General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Manufacture and pack products according to specifications
- Provides excellent training and guidance to subordinates
- Ensures the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated production line
- Keeps work area free of hazards
- Report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance)
- Provide written report on workplace injuries(new)
- Communicate effectively with immediate supervisor, mechanics, and QC staff
- Perform related duties as assigned

- POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is a full-time position. The base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day depending on shift assigned.

- No travel is expected for this position.
- REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of working experience with a role of a lead in a manufacturing environment.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual is considered a plus.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- English language and knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- WORK AUTHORIZATION
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a pre-condition of employment.
