Sexual Abuse Prevention Manager who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
Purpose and Impact:This position is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of policies and procedures related to Preventing, Detecting and Responding to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment of UAC. The PSA Manager ensures program compliance with PSA policies and procedures, identifies areas of needed improvement and develops plans of action to achieve desired outcomes. The PSA manager also contributes to the program quality assurance plan and completes programmatic reports. The PSA Manager is directly supervised by the Program Director. This is a direct care position.
Essential Functions:- Develops, coordinates and implements program policy and procedures related to ORR standards to Prevent, Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children.
- Provides oversight and enforcement of program policy and procedures in accordance with ORR standards to Prevent, Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children.
- Identifies and develops procedures to best utilize community resources and services to provide expertise and support to UC victims of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment.
- Develops, coordinates and facilitates trainings related to the Prevention, Detection and Responsiveness of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children and ensure annual training requirements are met.
- Promotes excellence in service implementation and continual improvement by assessing program service delivery, identifying barriers to effective implementation, and developing action plans to address areas of needed improvement.
- Collects data and conducts quality assurance reviews every quarter and/or at the conclusion of every investigation of sexual abuse or sexual harassment and assesses program service delivery, identifying barriers to effective implementation of policies and procedures and developing action plans to address areas of needed improvement.
- Completes programmatic reports related to sexual abuse or sexual harassment, as well as program performance.
- Demonstrates proficiency in knowledge of psychotropic medication, Behavior Management and Intervention Techniques, and child abuse reporting procedures in accordance with ORR-DUCS Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Demonstrates knowledge and sensitivity of cultural norms, values and heritage.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe PSA Manager does not have direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the PSA Manager has the time, access, and authority to question any program staff in order to guide implementation of the policies and procedures related to ORR standards to Prevent, Detect and Respond to Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment Involving Unaccompanied Children and effectuate change.
Education:A bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services or social service fields or business administration or management
Experience:At least one year of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, or quality assurance or compliance
Skills:- The PSA Manager should be detail-oriented with better than average communication skills, both written and verbal. The PSA Manager should possess a professional demeanor as well as multitasking, problem solving, analytical and organization skills. This position must work well in a team setting and should be able to deal effectively and objectively with UC and program staff.
- Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Reasoning AbilityThe PSA Compliance Manager must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Additionally, the PSA Compliance Manager must possess strong assessment skills and the ability to remain composed and neutral in high pressure situations.
