Job description

Project Manager – SaaS Implementations (Government & Healthcare)

About the Company

Alivia AnalyticsTM is on a mission to bend the healthcare cost curve by using analytic applications and data science to identify cases of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). By turning mountains of data into actionable answers, Alivia AnalyticsTM delivers the accuracy, confidence, and speed needed to solve healthcare payment integrity challenges. Our advanced technology empowers business leaders and experts to move beyond recovery to prevention and simulation. Alivia is proud to maintain the lowest false positive rate in the industry.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead customer‐facing SaaS implementations supporting state agencies, Medicaid programs, and government healthcare and commercial healthcare organizations. This role is designed for a Project Manager who owns delivery, takes accountability for outcomes, and is comfortable operating in environments with regulatory oversight, external stakeholders, and fixed program expectations. This is not a PMO or coordination-only role. The Project Manager in this position is expected to be directly involved in execution, able to translate complex requirements into actionable plans, and confidently lead projects where timelines, compliance, and customer trust matter.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will own end‐to‐end delivery of healthcare and government SaaS implementations—from kickoff through go‐live and stabilization. You will serve as the primary point of accountability for scope, schedule, risk, and customer satisfaction. You’ll work directly with state agency stakeholders, MMIS vendors, government and commercial healthcare program teams, and internal delivery resources, ensuring projects move forward decisively and transparently.

· Own the full lifecycle delivery of customer‐facing implementation projects for government and healthcare clients

· Serve as a primary external-facing lead, managing customer relationships and acting as the day‐to‐day point of coordination

· Develop and personally maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables

· Drive day‐to‐day execution: track progress, manage issues, remove blockers, and maintain momentum across workstreams

· Proactively manage scope, schedule, and change control using disciplined, auditable processes

· Identify risks early and actively manage mitigation strategies; escalate when necessary with clarity and context

· Lead requirements workshops, implementation working sessions, design reviews, and status meetings

· Translate business, operational, and program needs into clear business requirements and functional specifications

· Coordinate with engineering, product, data, QA, and operations teams while retaining ownership of delivery outcomes

· Manage vendor or implementation‐partner dependencies when applicable

· Produce and maintain core project artifacts, including:

· Project plans and integrated timelines

· Executive and customer status reports

· Requirements and functional documentation

· Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, templates, and execution practices

Required Experience & Qualifications

· 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within healthcare IT or government‐related systems

· Candidates with 3+ years of PM experience may be considered if they bring strong healthcare IT or application deployment experience

· Proven experience managing IT, system, or application implementation projects, preferably customer‐facing

· Demonstrated experience working directly with external customers or accounts (e.g., client-facing PM, engagement manager, or delivery lead)

· Strong delivery fundamentals: scope management, dependency tracking, issue resolution, and risk mitigation

· Experience developing and managing business requirements and functional documentation

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with non‐technical and executive stakeholders

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Experience with project delivery and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar)

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

· Experience working with state agencies, Medicaid programs, or MMIS vendors

· Background in healthcare claims processing, payment systems, or claims operations

· Government healthcare claims experience strongly preferred

· Commercial healthcare or claim payment experience acceptable

· Experience in program integrity, payment accuracy, or healthcare fraud (FWA) environments

· Experience supporting compliance, certification, audit, or readiness activities

· PMP or equivalent certification (CAPM, CPM, CSM, IPMA)

· Experience gathering or validating technical or system requirements

What Sets This Role Apart

· You own delivery outcomes, not just reporting

· You work directly with customers and program stakeholders

· You are trusted to drive decisions and execution

· Your experience with Medicaid, MMIS, or government healthcare is valued

· Success is measured by delivery, clarity, and accountability
