Event Paramedic

PER DIEM SEASONAL Opportunity

Starting at $27.06/hr

Location: The Gorge (754 Silica Road NW, George, WA 98848)

We're hiring Event Paramedics that will respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and various other public safety concerns. Event Paramedics are expected to deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests, venue and event staff in the most expedient, professional, safe, caring and cost-effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all event medical operations and activities are aligned with AMR & CrowdRx goals, strategic plans, and contractual obligations.
  • Delivers on-site Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in accordance with all applicable medical guidelines, protocols, scope of practice, and Company policies.
  • Calmly, professionally, and effectively responds to requests for emergency medical assistance and public safety concerns within assigned venues or event areas.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, recognizes changes in patient condition and provides appropriate emergency medical treatment often in high stress environments.
  • Coordinates and arranges emergent and non-emergent patient transport to higher levels of care, communicating effectively with EMS colleagues and receiving facilities.
  • Utilizes medical equipment and procedures-including stretchers/gurneys, airway equipment, IV supplies, splints, bandages, medications, and PPE-to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, within their appropriate scope of practice.
  • Communicates clearly, compassionately, and professionally with patients, family members, bystanders, venue staff, leadership, dispatch personnel, public safety officials, and other responding agencies.
  • Communicates public health and safety concerns to venue staff and internal management as appropriate.
  • Uses and operates communications systems, medical equipment, cleaning equipment, office equipment, and other tools necessary to perform assigned duties.
  • Listens to and follows direction from Dispatch and provides timely updates regarding patient status, scene conditions, and response outcomes via radio or telephone.
  • Completes, generates, and submits all required patient care reports, response documentation, and statistical data accurately and in accordance with Company policy.
  • Maintains familiarity with and adheres to evolving medical treatment protocols, quality assurance standards, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all Company policies.
  • Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and credentials necessary to perform Paramedic duties and remains current on continuing education requirements.
  • Attends and completes all mandatory training sessions, in-service programs, and assigned Company training within required timeframes.
  • Operates Company vehicles in accordance with Risk & Safety policies and applicable traffic laws, including those governing emergency response vehicles.
  • Maintains a driving record that meets Company Risk & Safety policy requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly and safely locate addresses and venue locations using knowledge of venue layouts and various systems, with or without electronic navigation tools.
  • Performs beginning-of-shift vehicle, equipment, and supply checks to ensure mechanical readiness and operational availability.
  • Immediately reports vehicle, equipment, or supply deficiencies, safety concerns, or unusual incidents to the Supervisor.
  • Notifies Fleet Maintenance and/or Supervisor of any mechanical failures or equipment malfunctions.
  • Monitors and maintains first aid rooms, medical stations, vehicles, and medical gear, ensuring all supplies are stocked, in-date, properly tagged, clean, and in good working order.
  • Ensures vehicles and equipment are cleaned, restocked, fueled, and secured at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Properly maintains issued uniforms and response gear and consistently utilizes required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follows all policies, procedures, assigned report times, and deployment instructions.
  • Fosters and maintains cooperative, respectful, and professional working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, venue staff, public safety personnel, and external partners.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner and adheres to the Company's Standards of Conduct at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License (Driving record in compliance with company policy)
  • Washington State Paramedic credential required (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • NREMT - P (Preferred) (Required to initially obtain WA State Paramedic License)
  • CPR/BLS certification (AHA Required)
  • ACLS Certification
  • Ability to pass a PAT (Physical Agility Test)
  • 1+ years experience as an ALS provider preferred.
  • 911 Experience preferred.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • A working understanding special event operations and customer service 
  • Strong listening and comprehension abilities, adaptability to quickly evolving situations, and strong decision-making ability.
  • Other certifications as required by local City, County or State.
