Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Intern to join the FES Center Operations Team. This undergraduate internship offers direct experience in budgeting and project organization for students eager to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
About Us
We are a multidisciplinary, regional medical research consortium funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Our mission is to advance innovative solutions in rehabilitation and neuroscience, often based on the use of functional electrical stimulation, to improve the lives of Veterans and the broader community experiencing neuromuscular injury or impairment.
Location: Cleveland FES Center located at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland (10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106)
Duration: 2026 - 2027 academic year *with potential to continue through the summer*
Compensation: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Part-time, flexible daytime / weekday hours (up to 20 hours/week preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
-Financial & Office Support: Monitor budgets and procurement, prepare operational reports, and manage daily logistics like scheduling and record-keeping.
-Data & Research Management: Update Center dashboards and mailing lists while conducting literature or market research for special projects.
-Events & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the planning of seminars and outreach programs while acting as a professional liaison for guests, clinicians, and participants.
-Operational Support: Provide administrative support as needed such as welcoming guests, engaging with Center clinicians, participants & guests, organizing files, scheduling meetings, taking notes, data entry, and providing general admin support as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
-Sophomore, Junior or Senior Undergraduate Student
-Strong willingness to learn, Attention to detail, and Task Management
-Strong organization and documentation skills
-Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
-Microsoft Office Suites including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
-Experience in creating databases and forms
-Experience managing a budget
-Experience working with Microsoft Office apps, Google apps and Canva
