Senior Conference Marketing Manager
The Senior Conference Marketing Manager at Seer is the global lead for all scientific conferences and commercial event initiatives, and a key contributor to Seer's brand visibility and customer engagement strategy. This role owns the entire event lifecycle-strategy, logistics, and execution-and is responsible for connecting events and other customer engagement initiatives to Seer's broader commercial strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, accountable, and relentlessly execution-oriented, thriving in both high-level planning and detailed operations.
Responsibilities & Goals:
Global and Local Event Leadership
  • Serve as Seer's central leader for global conference and event strategy, with full ownership of the planning and execution of major industry conferences, regional field events, webinars, and customer programs.
  • Manage local events (e.g. roadshows, seminars, workshops) with the same rigor and strategic intent as global ones-ensuring consistent brand presence, customer value, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain a proactive, forward-looking events calendar that anticipates industry moments, internal priorities, and customer needs.

Strategy, Market Intelligence & Continuous Optimization
  • Define and evolve customer engagement strategies, particularly for conferences and other in-person events, that align with Seer's commercial objectives, balancing budget efficiency with maximum impact.
  • Lead as a trusted internal voice on market intelligence and customer segmentation, surfacing key insights that shape Seer's presence and priorities at events.
  • Consistently evaluate and refine event selections, formats, and spending based on measurable results and changing market dynamics.

End-to-End Execution & Logistics Ownership
  • Fully own event execution, from high-level planning to day-of logistics, including: venue and vendor coordination, contract negotiation, sponsorships, AV, catering, exhibitor management, and branded collateral.
  • Proactively anticipate operational needs and mitigate risks-ensuring events run smoothly and represent Seer at the highest standard.
  • Lead the execution of live and on-demand webinars, integrating them into the broader events ecosystem.

Creative Lead
  • Lead end-to-end development of conference creative assets, translating strategic objectives into compelling concepts and ensuring alignment across brand, messaging, and audience needs from initial brief through final production.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies to drive timely execution of all creative deliverables, including design, content development, approvals, and print production.
  • Oversee quality control and production logistics, ensuring all assets are delivered on time, on brand, and print-ready, while proactively troubleshooting issues and optimizing processes for efficiency and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as a strong, proactive communicator across internal teams, driving clarity, alignment, and accountability from early planning through post-event analysis.
  • Partner with executive leadership, product marketing, commercial, brand, and digital teams to align on messaging, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on event planning, milestones, roles/responsibilities, and follow-through to all stakeholders.

Lead Capture, CRM Integration & Post-Event ROI
  • Own and optimize lead capture processes, working closely with vendors and marketing ops to ensure timely CRM integration and nurturing flows.
  • Translate event performance into actionable metrics-tracking engagement, lead quality, pipeline influence, and brand impact.

Scalable Systems & Process Development
  • Build operational infrastructure including repeatable playbooks, checklists, templates, and SOPs to ensure every event is executed efficiently, regardless of size or geography.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across every aspect of event planning and execution.

Partnership & Vendor Management
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with industry associations, event organizers, and vendors to maximize ROI and secure premium opportunities.
  • Proactively manage contracts, timelines, and vendor accountability to avoid surprises and ensure flawless delivery.

Background & Qualifications:
  • 30% travel
  • Strong written and oral communications skills (including cross-functional and timely communication)
  • Strong and collaborative work ethic; must be a self-starter and persistent in achieving objectives to support scientific and business goals
  • Must work well in a small team setting, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting scheduled deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The expected salary range for this position in Redwood City, CA is between $150,000 and $180,000. Actual pay will be determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance as well as an equity package.
