Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Go programming, microservices architecture, and cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, reliable, and secure applications. You will also be part of high performing agile team that designs, builds and deploys scalable API's across multiple platforms.

This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office (Hybrid)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Backend Development
. Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang
. Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code
. Develop RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services
. System Design
Participate in system architecture and design decisions
. Develop scalable and distributed systems
. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Microservices & Integration
. Build and maintain microservices-based architecture
. Integrate third-party APIs and internal services
. Work with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Database Management
. Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL like PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
. Write efficient queries and ensure data integrity
. Optimize database performance
Cloud & DevOps Collaboration
. Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
. Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
. Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines
Performance Optimization

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 8+ years of IT experience with 3-5 years in architecture/consulting roles
. Strong proficiency in Golang (Go) 3+ years
. Experience with REST APIs / gRPC
. Knowledge of microservices architecture
. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
. Understanding of concurrency (goroutines, channels)
. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,600.00 - $141,100.00.
