NV5 is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Americas Mission Critical team and service our clients nationally as needs dictate. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, project management, facility engineering, construction, and operations. The market served will include mission critical.  Duties and responsibilities related to this position are listed below.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project manager and site lead for mission critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships. Develop relationships on projects that accrue good will with our existing clients and collaborate with our management team to extend our existing relationships.
  • Manage project specific commissioning plans, commissioning procedures, checklists, test scripts, and schedules for Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities.
  • Lead onsite teams to perform functional performance tests on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Provide project management and coordination to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.
Qualifications
  • 8 years or more of progressive experience in building systems commissioning with at least 3 years of mission critical facility experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
  • Experience with cloud-based construction and commissioning management platforms.
  • Able to work as part of a team, think creatively, and problem solve.
  • Working knowledge and experience of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Willingness to travel 75% or more as national level projects dictate.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • PE License or ability to obtain one
  • Commissioning Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Test and Balance Certification

The pay range for this position is $150,000- $170,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
