Pay: $17 per hour 

Hours: 15-35 Hours Per Week 

Description: 

Barkada is a family-owned quick service Filipino restaurant. We will be opening in May of 2026! We are looking for energetic, hardworking and sociable front of house staff. Part of your role will be to serve customers, manage online ordering and look after the front of house. This is a brand new concept and we are looking for people who can bring energy and passion to this opportunity! 

This is the primary role in a quick-service setting, responsible for managing the customer journey from entry to exit.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Hospitality: Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude and provide efficient service.
  • Menu Expertise: Explain Filipino dishes (e.g., Adobo, Lechon, lumpia), ingredients, and potential allergens to guests who may be unfamiliar with the cuisine.
  • Order Management: Accurately take orders and process payments through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Order Fulfillment: Assemble and bag takeout orders or prepare dine-in orders, ensuring all dining utensils and ordered items are included. 
  • Dining Room Maintenance: Promptly clear and sanitize tables, sweep floors, and ensure the dry goods are stocked
  • Sanitation Compliance: Follow all food safety and health department guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
  • General Opening and Closing: Restock all dry goods, clean all surfaces, take out trash. 
  • Inventory Management: Work with the back of house to ensure all of our food properly presented and fresh. 

 

 

Ideal Skills & Requirements

  • Cultural Knowledge: Familiarity with Filipino food culture is a significant plus for explaining menu items. It is not required and we will educate all servers. 
  • Multitasking: Ability to stay calm and efficient during high-volume lunch or dinner rushes.
  • Team Player: Willingness to jump in and assist both FOH and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Reliability: Commitment to following opening and closing procedures exactly.
