The Manville School District is seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-centered educator to serve as a Grade 1 Maternity Leave Replacement Teacher at Weston Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a warm and engaging classroom environment while delivering high-quality instruction that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all learners within our inclusive school community.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with Grade 1 curriculum standards
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification for Grade 1 required
- Preferred experience teaching grade 1
- Passionate about early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Multilingual a plus
- Collaborative
Salary and Benefits in accordance with the Manville Education Association. The annual salary range is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum) for the 2026-2027 school year.
