Job description

Summary:
  • The Information Services Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating efforts and content within the designated focus area. This senior-level position ensures coordination and consistency across related IS teams and provides oversight for application support, including Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management.
  • The role requires a self-starter who can work with minimal oversight while leading complex projects, mentoring team members, and driving operational and clinical outcomes.

Requirements:Education:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in:
    • Healthcare
    • Business
    • Information Systems

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Serve as the primary representative during implementation phases including build, configuration, testing, go-live support, and optimization.
  • Act as an escalation point for focus area support and optimization activities.
  • Demonstrate leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes for end users and stakeholders.
  • Ensure team adherence to quality standards and organizational best practices.
  • Mentor assigned analysts and facilitate cross-training among team members.
  • Organize and distribute workloads to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to lower-level staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coach team members through experimentation, innovation, and problem-solving approaches.
  • Promote positive and constructive coaching to improve team self-awareness and performance.

Project & Process Management
  • Lead process and requirement analysis, including:
    • Process mapping
    • Flowchart development
    • Requirements elicitation
    • Stakeholder analysis
    • Specification gathering
  • Prepare and deliver organized project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage large and/or sensitive projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively plan projects and tasks across applications.
  • Identify potential roadblocks or conflicts and collaborate with leadership to resolve them.
  • Escalate issues appropriately through the chain of command.
  • Coordinate communication between application teams and facilitate cross-functional work sessions.

Technical & Application Expertise
  • Demonstrate expert-level understanding of assigned applications, clinical/business operations, workflows, and integrated configurations.
  • Independently analyze, design, configure, and communicate complex system designs.
  • Teach and guide team members in advanced design and configuration practices.
  • Collaborate with application and compliance teams to design system processes.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of technologies applicable to assigned responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to enhance efficiency within the focus area.
  • Stay current with Epic resources including:
    • Nova release notes
    • User Forum
    • Galaxy
    • Epic User Web documentation

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with key client administrators based on trust.
  • Act as a customer liaison to understand business needs and communicate requirements and timelines.
  • Influence operational and clinical project outcomes.
  • Develop internal and external communications and articulate project strategies effectively.
  • Deliver communication tailored to audiences ranging from project teams to executive leadership.
  • Proactively address customer and system service concerns.

Collaboration & Compliance
  • Work collaboratively with Application Development teams and Business Process Owners.
  • Coordinate across applications for high-impact vendor changes.
  • Support organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
