Overview: The Enterprise Risk Manager executes MCU’s enterprise-level risk management program on a day-to-day basis, maintaining frameworks, taxonomies, policies, and procedures, and ensuring risk management practices are consistently applied across business lines.


Responsibilities:


Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Executes and administers the ERM Program under the CRO’s direction.
  • Provide support to the Chief Risk Officer in streamlining the risk governance of MCU’s operations.
  • Manage key initiatives related to enterprise risk management, including maintenance and monitoring of risk appetite and applicable limits.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of MCU’s policies and procedures relative to enterprise risk management.
  • Coordinate, review, and challenge the Enterprise Risk Assessment on a periodic basis.
  • Develop and coordinate reporting for the Risk Management Committee (RMCO) in order to provide the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with critical enterprise-wide risk data and analytics.
  • Take the lead in executing the identification, monitoring, reporting, mitigating, and controlling of risk across all risk categories incorporated into MCU’s enterprise risk framework, as well as designing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting of defined risk-related metrics, as applicable.
  • Collaborate closely with business line leaders across all areas of MCU on initiatives, critical risk metrics, key risk and performance indicators, reports, and presentations.
  • Partner with business line leaders throughout the enterprise to executive risk management-related tasks, properly quantify and report, and escalate as needed.
  • Manage MCU’s Incident Response Plan including facilitating the incident response process, ensuring the appropriate urgency, communication standards, and discretion are applied to each incident.
  • Act as steward, carrying the responsibility for identifying, addressing, and escalating risks, and be held strictly accountable for fulfilling risk management duties.
  • Demonstrate risk awareness by adhering to all policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of risk management experience, with at least 3 years of experience in financial service enterprise risk management.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Technologically proficient.

The pay range for this position is between $81,700-134,730 annually. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
