Job description

Primary Objective:
Our Client is seeking a Desktop Engineer contractor to support an upcoming enterprise-wide PC refresh initiative for an anticipated period of approximately three months. 
The primary responsibility of this contractor will be assisting our Desktop Services team with the deployment and replacement of end-user computing devices across the organization. 
Key Responsibilities
  • PC imaging, staging, deployment, and replacement activities.
  • Setup and configuration of Windows workstations and related peripherals.
  • Device migrations, including user data and profile transfers.
  • Hardware installation, troubleshooting, and warranty coordination as needed.
  • Inventory tracking and asset management updates.
  • End-user support during refresh deployments, including basic software, hardware, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Coordination with internal IT staff to ensure successful rollout of equipment across Marion County.

Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support, PC deployment, or related technical support roles.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with computer imaging and deployment processes.
