Department:IT Department Versar Global Solutions, Inc. (VGS) is actively seeking a skilled and experienced HBSS (ESS) / ACAS Administrator to fulfill an essential role in providing IT support for the United States Navy and other governmental agencies operating out of Comalapa Air Base situated in El Salvador, Central America. POSITION SUMMARY: The HBSS / ACAS Administrator is responsible for executing all aspects of ESS and ACAS operations, including but not limited to system administration, upkeep, maintenance, engineering services, reports and management. Your primary objective is to ensure the continuous availability of CSL Comalapa' IT systems in a secure and reliable manner. In this position, you will play a crucial role within a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure. Your designated responsibilities will include implementing necessary hardware and software upgrades, evaluating and improving relevant documentation, overseeing installation processes for computer and network systems, mitigating potential cyber threats such as malware or security breaches, performing backup procedures for computer systems, and safeguarding against data corruption. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Adheres to Corporate, Department of Defense (DOD), United States Navy standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) protocols and risk management activities. * Provide system administration and maintain operations of ESS/ACAS servers. * Implements ESS/ACAS migration/compliance strategy. * Troubleshoots ESS/ACAS product issues and outages. * Administers ePolicy tree structure management. * Administers policy catalog management. * Coordinates ASI details and planning as needed. * Maintains system patches, O/S, SQL and ESS/ACAS STIG compliance. * Ensures compliance with Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS). * Ensures TRILIX ESS/ACAS suite is installed and configured properly to report to CMRS. * Resolves server (O/S, policy, SQL) issues. * Maintains the ePO server, including automated tasks, task scheduler, and database maintenance tasks. * Supports configuration management of the Nessus/ACAS suite and scanning activities. * Provides all requested reports and configuration changes to the ISSO/ISSM Cyber Security team. * Provides subject matter expertise, best practice recommendations, and implementation support for ACAS and ESS servers and systems. * Supports ESS requirements and responsibilities under Spec Item 3.1.6 and assists the LAN Administrator with duties under Spec Item 3.1. * Ensures DLP is configured and working properly through random testing * Verifies automatic Rollup to NCDOC and VRAM * Communicates user concerns or opportunities for enhancement to the Data Center Manager and other members of the IT team. * Collaborates with Corporate IT to investigate performance-related matters or other technical issues that may arise. * Assists in maintaining network security protocols and access controls. * Performs routine data backups and ensures data integrity. * Participates in security vulnerability assessments. * Supports LAN Manager and IT Team with implementation of new application solutions, including technical support. * Collaborates with IT staff and US Military to develop and implement IT policies and procedures. * Evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations for upgrades or enhancements. * Conducts Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs), Security Requirement Guides (SRGs), on relevant IT assets to ensure compliance with Navy RMF security standards. * Creates and maintains network diagrams and documentation using tools such as MS Visio. REQUIRED SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE: * Proven experience as an ESS Administrator or similar role. * Minimum five years of related technical experience in the IT field. * Specific experience and in-depth knowledge of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Server. * Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting ESS/Trellix products, including Threat Exploitation Prevention, Firewall, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). * Knowledge and experience working with McAfee Data Loss Prevention Endpoint and McAfee product policy tuning. * Knowledge and experience working with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). * Knowledge and experience with Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS). * Ability to respond to incidents and alerts for production systems; creates SOPs. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Active Directory, applying group policies and related functions. * Knowledge of network architectures, topologies, and IP (Internet Protocol) protocols * Administrator experience with servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), along with experience in Windows and Linux operating systems. * Experience creating network diagrams and documentation using Visio or similar tools. * Experience conducting Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) on IT assets. * Experience working with federal IT systems and familiarity with compliance standards. * Background/ knowledge of Microsoft Server 2022 On-Premise and Virtual administration * Experience with the configuration and administration of Windows file servers. * Knowledge of VMWare ESXI * Knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and RAIDKnowledge of CISCO switches, Routers and NG Firewalls.
