Job Description SummaryOrganization's Summary Statement:
The Department of Athletics at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites applications for a full-time, exempt position with full benefits.
Salary: $70,00- $85,000
Benefits: The University of Maryland Eastern Shore, as a University System of Maryland institution and a Maryland State agency, provides a comprehensive benefits package to all regular faculty and staff. and dependents offered through the State of Maryland Employee Benefits

Retirement plans: mandatory enrollment in a state pension system or an
Optional Retirement Plan with Fidelity or TIAA, Supplemental Retirement
Accounts (TIAA, Fidelity, or MSRP-Nationwide) with $600 annual state
match, Life Insurance (state sponsored MetLife, USM sponsored MetLife
Plan, life insurance and long-term disability insurance).
Tuition remission benefits for eligible employees and, subject to USM
policies, spouses and dependents at University System of Maryland
institutions.
Exempt positions start at 22 days annual per year, sick leave 15 days per
year, personal leave 3 days per year), and paid holidays.

Responsibilities:
Administer all phases of the NCAA Division I volleyball program. Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensuring a quality coaching philosophy and strategy
Budget management
Recruitment
Program administration of student-athletes
Scheduling, team organization, and staff supervision
Ordering and maintaining equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated expertise in planning and directing a collegiate-level
volleyball at the Division I level.
Demonstrated effectiveness in monitoring student athletes academic
progress, retention, and graduation.
Experience managing Volleyball Camps.
Knowledge of NCAA and NEC rules and regulations
Knowledge of and use of video/statistical software and computers.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to follow proper department and professional protocol as directed by
sport administrator.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with students, faculty,
administration, alumni, and the general public.
Skilled in operation of computer and related software.
Physical Demands:
May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at
desk.
May require lifting.
Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and
internally.
