Job description

Project Manager โ€“ Roofing (No Experience Required)

Interstate Roofing is looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our growing team as Project Managers. If you enjoy working with people, solving problems, setting your own schedule, and being rewarded for your performance, this could be a great fit.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 1099 independent contractor position with commission-based compensation. This is not a salaried or hourly W-2 position.

No roofing experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing mentorship, and support. We are looking for people with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of their success.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Meet with homeowners to inspect roofs for storm damage and wear.
  • Document findings using photos and drone technology.
  • Assist homeowners through the insurance claims process when applicable.
  • Prepare estimates for retail and insurance projects.
  • Coordinate with customers from initial inspection through project completion.
  • Attend adjuster meetings as needed.
  • Conduct pre-build walkthroughs and final quality inspections.
  • Build relationships through networking and community outreach.
  • Maintain accurate job updates and documentation.
  • Work closely with our office staff and production team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access roofs safely, or utilize drone technology when appropriate.
  • Sales, construction, customer service, roofing, operations, or project management experience is a plus but not required.
  • Coachable and willing to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a performance-based environment.
What We Offer
  • Flexible schedule and significant independence.
  • Uncapped earning potential.
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship.
  • Advancement opportunities within a growing company.
  • Supportive team and experienced leadership.
  • Residential and commercial project opportunities.
  • The ability to manage projects from initial customer contact through completion.
  • Opportunity to help homeowners navigate the restoration process following storm damage.
Compensation & Employment Structure

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.

Compensation is 100% performance-based commission with uncapped earning potential. There is no guaranteed salary or hourly wage.

Your income is directly tied to your production and completed projects. High-performing Project Managers have the opportunity to earn substantial income as they build their pipeline and increase production.

Because this is an independent contractor position, candidates should be comfortable working independently, managing their schedules, developing business, and taking responsibility for their individual performance.

Why Interstate Roofing?

Weโ€™re building more than roofsโ€”weโ€™re building careers.

Our team values integrity, communication, accountability, and taking care of customers the right way. We provide the training, systems, mentorship, and operational support needed to learn the roofing industry while giving Project Managers the independence to build their own success.

If youโ€™re driven, coachable, comfortable talking with people, and ready for an opportunity where your effort directly impacts your income, weโ€™d love to meet you.

  • Apply today through LinkedIn or submit your resume directly to Angela.johnson@interstateroof.com. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview.
