Service Operations Manager - Data Center Technologies

Dallas, TX or Austin, TX | Up to 75% Travel | Munters

Lead the Service Team Supporting Mission-Critical Data Centers

Munters is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical environments. We are seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead our field service operations supporting data center HVAC and cooling technologies.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced HVAC service professional who enjoys leading teams, solving complex customer challenges, and improving service operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC service technicians, dispatchers, and support personnel.
  • Oversee daily service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, work assignments, and customer escalations.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and service of HVAC systems in mission-critical data center environments.
  • Develop and improve processes to increase service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and service partners.
  • Visit customer sites and support field teams as needed.
  • Monitor service performance, response times, equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics.
  • Manage service inventory, tools, equipment, and resources.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance for the service operation.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop service team members.
  • Ensure field operations comply with safety requirements, customer standards, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Review and support estimates for large or specialized HVAC service projects.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new tools and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of HVAC service or related experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading field service teams and managing service operations.
  • Strong customer relationship and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatching, service management, or project management systems.
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and operational performance.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • HVAC certification or licensing is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.
