Job description

Position Description

We are seeking candidates with Federal government consulting experience in program/portfolio management, PMO support, program oversight, and/or capital planning and investment control (CPIC). This position is part of a team providing oversight to major IT and non-IT programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is located in the office of the Component Chief Information Officer (CIO). Candidates must have strong analytical skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. The candidate will serve as a liaison to multiple programs and must exhibit exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide feedback on program data and documentation
  • Serve as CPIC subject matter expert (SME) for Program Managers and program management offices (PMOs)
  • Review OMB and agency monthly reports, including IT Dashboard
  • Facilitate and support portfolio reviews and program assessments
  • Review and update acquisition program documentation
  • Collect and analyze program data, developing various reports and presentations
  • Conduct analysis on Technology Business Management (TBM) data
  • Perform data analytics on program portfolio, supporting ad hoc requests by the Chief Information Officer

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships
  • Active DHS or CBP clearance required
  • Seasoned consulting skills, including the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Demonstrated expertise with MS Office Suite with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary customer clearance
