Job Title

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solution Architecture & Technical Strategy: 8+ years of experience with a "platform-first" architectural mindset. Proven ability to design high-performance, scalable solutions that balance native Salesforce configuration (Flows) with custom development (Apex/LWC) to minimize technical debt and maximize maintainability.
  • Consultative Business Partnership: Acts as a strategic partner to internal business units (e.g., Customer Care, Sales). Proven ability to "think on behalf of the stakeholder," translating vague business problems into high-value technical roadmaps. Must be comfortable leading discovery sessions and challenging requirements when they don't align with platform best practices or business ROI.
  • Multi-Cloud & Functional Expertise: Experience implementing and extending Service Cloud (Omni-channel, Case Management), Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Voice / CTI.
  • Frontend Development: Experience building reactive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that adhere to the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) using JS and LWCs.
  • Backend Development: Experience with Apex and enterprise-level backend patterns, including advanced Trigger frameworks, Asynchronous processing (Batch, Queueable, and Scheduled Apex), and complex REST/SOAP API integrations. Strong focus on building reusable service layers, robust error-handling frameworks, and secure, bulkified code.
  • AI First Execution: Ability to leverage AI-powered authoring tools to accelerate technical documentation, code generation, and unit testing while maintaining strict accountability for the security and accuracy of the output. Experience architecting generic autonomous AI capabilities and intelligent automation to solve complex business problems.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Proficiency in enterprise release management, specifically using Copado for version control (Git-based), multi-environment deployment orchestration, and automated quality gates.
  • Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Prior experience acting as a lead for a pod or team, including conducting rigorous code/configuration reviews, establishing coding standards, and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect; additional certifications in Platform Developer II, and AI-related credentials preferred.

Job Summary

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs moderately complex software applications for enhancements and new products. Performs coding, configuration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and documents technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.
  • Builds software enhancements through configuration and/or development to meet desired functionalities.
  • Performs unit testing on application enhancements prior to moving coding and configuration through the quality assurance process.
  • Develops and defines test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Analyzes applications for compliance with security protocols.
  • Participates in incident management activities, including troubleshooting and performing after action reviews and tasks.
  • Contributes to peer reviews in cross-functional application development activities.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
