Job Description Summary:
Manufacturing Technology Engineer


Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments. Designs and scales manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. Plans, designs and estimates time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components. Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of manufacturing processes in a low-infrastructure, lab-scale environment, independently designing workflows, defining standards, and implementing practical solutions to enable safe, reliable, and scalable production.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions to manufacturing problems, considering both immediate and long-term business impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop basic data packages and technical justification for capital improvement projects in collaboration with vendors and crossfunctional teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement bestinclass processes and technologies through collaboration with technical experts.
  • Lead process improvements to enhance yield, quality, uptime, capacity, and safety.
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex manufacturing and equipment issues.
  • Develop and execute plans for commissioning, decommissioning, startup, and shutdown activities.
  • Lead qualification efforts for new and upgraded equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and assets.
  • Provide technical support to operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related discipline)
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience supporting manufacturing operations, production processes, or industrial systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes, equipment, and operational issues.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies and engineering problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced materials, chemicals, electronics, semiconductor, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process validation activities
