Job description

The BIM Manager, being a part of Practice Technology Department, supports the Corporate Technology Director in implementing BIM, design, and practice technology standards, workflows, digital processes, model management practices, content resources, training programs, and onboarding in Central Region. This role ensures consistent digital execution, supports project teams, and strengthens PBK's overall design and practice technology capabilities.
Your Impact:
1. BIM, Design & Practice Technology Standards, Governance & Strategy
  • Implement firm-wide BIM, design, and practice technology standards, strategies, templates, and workflows.
  • Maintain and enforce BIM, design, and practice technology documentation standards and processes across disciplines.
  • Research and assist with integrating emerging tools, software, and methods to support both design and practice technology improvements.
  • Support company-wide standardization and digital design initiatives across project teams and offices.
2. Technical Expertise & Support
  • Provide advanced technical support for Revit, ACC, Dynamo, computational design tools, visualization tools, Bluebeam and other design/practice technology platforms.
  • Troubleshoot BIM and design/practice technology issues for project teams by helping with ticketing system.
  • Develop automation scripts (Dynamo/Python/C#) to enhance BIM, design, and practice technology workflows.
  • Assist with content development for Revit families, details, and other design/practice-technology resources.
3. Project & Model Management Support
  • Implement model management workflows to ensure coordinated, high-quality, multi-discipline BIM models and related design/practice technology deliverables across projects.
  • Ensure consistent application of BIM standards, model management practices, coordination protocols, and QA/QC procedures across assigned projects.
  • Review and validate project setup, model health, version alignment, content use, coordination workflows, and compliance with BIM Execution Plans and PBK standards.
  • Support Model Managers, Office BIM Coordinators, and project teams with BIM and design/practice technology troubleshooting.
4. Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as a key resource for architects, engineers, project managers, and consultants regarding BIM, design workflows, and practice technology processes.
  • Communicate updates on BIM, design technology, templates, content resources, and practice technology initiatives across teams.
  • Promote adoption of tools, templates, and delivery methods across project teams and contribute to knowledge sharing and best-practice development across PBK.
5. Training, Mentorship & Development
  • Assist with training programs for BIM, design, and practice technology workflows across project teams.
  • Assist with developing documentation, guides, and onboarding materials for BIM, design, and practice technology platforms.
  • Help with onboarding new hires and support them as they transition into project work to ensure digital competency and consistency.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Design Technology, Practice Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in A/E/C, BIM, design technology, and/or practice technology implementation and demonstrated experience supporting the design, documentation, coordination, and execution of multidisciplinary architecture/ engineering projects within the AEC industry.
  • Experience implementing multi-discipline BIM workflows and supporting broader design and practice technology processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, ACC, Forma, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other design/practice technology platforms.
  • Experienced with Dynamo, Python, and/or C#.
  • Understanding BIM standards, LOD, clash detection, model workflows, and design/practice technology trends.
  • Experienced with computational design, visualization tools, and emerging digital methods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Ability to implement processes consistently in a fast-paced environment.
