Job description

Position Overview

Commercial Floor Resources is looking for a driven, organized, and accountable Project Manager to lead commercial flooring projects from turnover through closeout.

This role is responsible for managing jobs after award, coordinating labor, material, schedules, communication, change orders, and project execution. The Project Manager is expected to own the project outcome, protect margin, communicate clearly, and make sure the customer experience is strong from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage details, solve problems, and keep jobs moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned commercial flooring projects from handoff to closeout.
  • Review estimates, scopes, drawings, proposals, and project requirements before work begins.
  • Coordinate with Account Managers, Estimating, Purchasing, Warehouse, Field Operations, Superintendents, installers, and customers.
  • Build and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure material, labor, equipment, and information are ready before installation begins.
  • Create and manage work orders, purchase requests, material orders, and project documentation in the company system.
  • Communicate job status, issues, risks, and schedule changes proactively.
  • Manage project costs and protect estimated margin.
  • Identify, document, price, and communicate change orders.
  • Resolve project issues quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure jobs are completed safely, correctly, and on time.
  • Support billing, closeout documentation, punch lists, and final completion.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, installers, and internal teams.
