Description

Vancouver, WA | Mercedes-Benz | Sprinter | Van Center | Inventory Manager | Commercial vehicle | Fleet | Open point | Pacific Northwest | Portland metro | Mercedes-Benz experience preferred | Veterans encouraged to apply | $48,000 - $72,000/yr

IS THIS YOU?
  • You have dealership inventory experience and you understand what it takes to keep a lot organized, accurate, and market-ready at all times
  • You're detail-oriented, operationally sharp, and comfortable working across systems, vendors, and internal teams to keep inventory flowing without disruption
  • You're excited by the opportunity to be part of something new -- a ground-up commercial vehicle operation built around the world's most in-demand van platform
WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

The Mercedes-Benz Van Center of Vancouver is Swickard's first dedicated Sprinter van operation -- a ground-up commercial vehicle center specializing exclusively in Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van sales, service, and fleet solutions. Opening in August 2026, this store is built for the commercial buyer: contractors, fleet operators, last-mile delivery companies, and businesses that depend on the Sprinter platform to get work done. The Inventory Manager is a founding team member -- stepping in at the beginning and building the inventory function from the ground up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage all Sprinter van inventory -- new units, pre-owned vehicles, and upfitted stock -- ensuring accurate records, proper titling, and a lot that is organized and market-ready at all times
  • Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new Sprinter inventory from transport and OEM allocation
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the DMS -- vehicle status, location, configuration, pricing, and availability updated in real time
  • Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot mix -- surfacing insights to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
  • Support fleet and commercial account operations -- coordinating inventory availability and delivery timelines for fleet clients and upfitter partners
  • Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with Washington state requirements
  • Coordinate with the service department on pre-delivery inspections, upfit scheduling, and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
  • Assist with auction activity, trade-in processing, and pre-owned vehicle acquisition as directed
  • Support the build-out of inventory processes, SOPs, and systems as a founding team member of a new operation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2+ years of inventory, title, or lot operations experience at a franchised dealership -- required
  • Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand dealership experience preferred -- familiarity with MBZ inventory systems and OEM processes is a significant advantage
  • Commercial vehicle or fleet operations experience a strong plus -- understanding of Sprinter configurations, upfit coordination, and fleet account logistics is highly valued
  • Strong DMS proficiency -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented -- inventory accuracy is non-negotiable and you hold yourself to that standard
  • Comfortable building processes from scratch -- this is a new operation and the Inventory Manager will help define how things work from the start
  • Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
WHAT WE OFFER
  • $48,000 - $72,000/yr
  • The opportunity to join a new Swickard operation at the ground floor -- your work will directly shape how this store runs
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Career growth within a 40+ rooftop organization -- inventory and operations experience at a dedicated commercial vehicle center opens real doors
  • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
  • The backing of a nationally recognized dealer group with deep operational infrastructure and a proven track record of successful store launches
WHY MERCEDES-BENZ VAN CENTER OF VANCOUVER
  • Ground-floor opportunity to shape the culture, processes, and standards of a brand-new operation
  • Represent one of the world's most iconic luxury brands in a dedicated commercial vehicle environment purpose-built for the Sprinter platform
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives
  • Manufacturer-supported training and Mercedes-Benz certification opportunities
  • A collaborative, hospitality-first culture where your contributions are seen and valued
  • Serve a thriving and growing commercial market in one of the Pacific Northwest's fastest-growing corridors
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off
  • Career growth potential as the operation grows and scales within the Swickard organization
