TThe Portfolio Management Data & Reporting Technology team is pleased to announce an opportunity to join the group as an Application Development Group Manager leading the Fisher Investments Portfolio Management Data & Reporting Technology team.

The Opportunity:

The Portfolio Management Data & Reporting Technology team identifies, implements, and supports software solutions with focus on portfolio holdings, transactions and performance data management and client reporting. These solutions allow Portfolio Management business groups to perform their jobs, gain insight into their own processes and clients, and solve the problems they encounter while supporting their clients' goals. We are building reliable, scalable, consistent systems to securely deliver meaningful data, while following guidelines that comply with company and regulatory data handling practices.

The Application Development Group Manager will work with multiple partners to understand opportunities, architect solutions, deliver and support the working applications. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery by the team and consulting partners. You will report to the Vice President of Portfolio Management Technology.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Collaborate with our users, technology leaders, and other partners to understand our priorities and translate them into relevant engineering roadmaps that use existing and new technology
  • Manage the team, including the hiring, development and terminations of a team of up to 10 employees
  • Ensure robust, scalable, secure, and compliant architecture of Portfolio Management Data & Client Reporting platforms
  • Set and build a strategy for Portfolio Management Data & Reporting Technology with a focus on enhancing end-user experience through self-service solutions, speed of delivery, and high-quality results
  • Prioritize work requests to meet business desires and needs by assigning staff and overseeing delivery
  • Lead the implementation of technical solutions and promote process for software development and support
  • Define important KPIs demonstrating efficient and effective use and use of the application portfolio that you manage
  • Reduce risk to our organization by implementing governance and security controls in partnership with the Enterprise Risk Management, Data Privacy Office, Legal & Compliance Departments, Information Security, Infrastructure and related teams

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading Wealth Management Technology teams with focus on Portfolio Management Data and Client Reporting
  • Experience leading and coaching technology teams and improving team's overall performance
  • Experience in stakeholder management across business and technology
  • Experience eliciting and representing a business group's technology needs through requirements, project management, and software delivery
  • Demonstrated experience driving technology innovation, developing and accomplishing technology roadmaps, and delivering measurable improvements
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from strategy to development, deployment, and support
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms in Microsoft Azure including services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Key Vault
  • Experience with API design standards including resource modeling, authentication and authorization and error handling
  • Experience with industry standard Wealth Management Client Reporting solutions
  • Familiarity with Databricks and medallion architecture is a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
